Title: Loan Adjustor/Collector

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)

Contract 3-6 months

Pay Rate: $25-30/hr on W2

Job Description:

• Responsible for making outbound calls and email contact with members regarding loans that are
• between 30-59 days past due. Responds to member calls and emails in a timely manner. Handles direct and indirect credit disputes by
• working with members and the various credit bureaus to make corrections. Addresses loan deferment requests under the Member
• Consumer Lending Assistance Program. Collects and distributes documents to evaluate loan deferment requests and uses member
• information to draft recommendation memos. Follows Star One policies and all appropriate regulations, which provide guidelines on
• contacting and communicating with members. Ensures that collection activities are conducted in accordance with federal and state laws,
• including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Provides support with other duties as assigned.

Experience/Minimum Education Requirements –

• Requires a minimum of one to two (1-2) years of current and relevant
• experience within a financial institution. Previous collection and member phone experience is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Business
• Administration, Accounting, Finance, or the equivalent level of education and experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities –

• Must be knowledgeable of practices, regulations, procedures and standard accounting necessary
• to perform duties commonly found in financial institutions. Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Well organized and detail oriented with the ability to work independently under limited supervision or as a part of a team. Strong member
• service skills and judgment required, with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. Ability to work in fast paced environment,
• prioritize tasks and effectively complete multiple competing assignments. Must be proficient with technology (computers, iPads, mobile phones, tablets) and Mic
