Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, residential spaces, or commercial areas using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment
- Dust surfaces, vacuum carpets, mop floors, and care for flooring to uphold cleanliness and safety standards
- Implement sanitation procedures across all surfaces, including bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Manage laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
- Handle manual lifting of furniture or cleaning supplies safely during deep cleans or maintenance tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor work areas and ensure proper disposal of waste in compliance with sanitation protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients or residents to address their cleaning needs and ensure satisfaction with services provided
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or hotel housekeeping roles
- Strong knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and laundry machines
- Ability to handle cleaning detergents safely while adhering to health and safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work; manual handling skills are essential
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients or residents
- Experience in outdoor work environments or residential housekeeping is a plus
