Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, windows, and fixtures are sanitized and maintained to meet health and safety regulations
- Follow established protocols for waste disposal and environmental services to promote sanitation and sustainability
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, buffing, or carpet cleaning as needed
- Adhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly
- Utilize janitorial experience and custodial skills to deliver consistent quality in every task performed
- Maintain and help in the laundry room and make sure that the supply closets are properly stocked
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare, hospitality, or commercial settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques specific to hospital or healthcare environments is a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to cleaning and sanitation practices
- Experience with floor care equipment such as buffers or extractors is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to perform environmental services efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
