Your Tasks And Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Director Transfer Pricing & Business Models are to:

Reporting directly to the Head of Tax Advisory, the jobholder has global responsibility for all Transfer Price related activities of the Division CropScience and represents Bayer in that regard to tax authorities, to third parties, e.g. tax advisors, auditors (e.g. Deloitte), as well as intra-group to the business / subgroups and affiliated companies.

• The job holder provides global leadership and governance for heading the CropScience Transfer Price Community and reports to the Head of Tax Advisory;
• The department / function Transfer Pricing & Business Models is one pillar of Bayer’s tax strategy for value creation.;
• The major tasks and responsibilities include:
• Global responsibility for Transfer Pricing (TP) of the division CropScience;
• Governance and guidelines for divisional transfer pricing;
• Steering CropScience TP community across all functions;
• Execution of transfer pricing projects - Co-Heading the Divisional;
• siness Model Council - Establishment and steering of global tax efficient business models - Center of expertise for TP management and TP settings;
• Support of local transfer price audits;
• Expertise on local TP specifics;
• Implementation of TP guidelines;
• Governance for execution Local TP documentation requirements.
  
  

Who You Are

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge in the following tax fields: Corporation tax; Reorganization Law; Withholding Taxes; Double Taxation Treaties;
• English language should be fluent in spoken and written;
• Excellent knowledge about local tax law and regulations and high degree of understanding of international tax rules and transfer pricing practices and policies;
• Team-oriented leadership skills;
• Skills in multidisciplinary project- and corresponding change management;
• Well-developed networking skills with business partner attitude;
• Communications strategy and messaging skills with the ability to build long term partnerships with internal management & staff;
• Understanding of complex business issues and strategies.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in tax, preferably in an industrial, consulting or tax administrative environment;
• Transfer Price specialist with local university (of applied sciences) degree in tax matters, law, business administration or comparable degree.
  
  

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $151,425 to $227,138. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
