Position Details:
- Facility: BayCare Health System, MRI-St. Joseph's Hospital South
- Location: Riverview, FL
- Status: Full Time, Exempt: No
- Shift Hours: 9:00am -9:30pm Sat-Mon
- Shift : Shift 1, Days
- Weekend Work: Every
- On Call: No
Technologist Assistant Responsibilities:
- Imaging ,under the direction of the clinical manager, assists with patient screening, room set up and prepares patient for exam.
- Prepares contrast for exam and loads contrast injector as necessary.
- Provides patient education as instructed by the Imaging Technologist and performs patient education documentation in the patient electronic record.
- Follows MRI Level II training requirements and standards, where applicable.
- Works with clinical staff to meet department turnaround times and maintain appropriate exam start times.
- Responsibilities may be expanded or restricted at the discretion of the manager, based upon patient volumes and/or the needs of the department.
Requirements:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- High School Graduate or Equivalent GED
- 1 year Hospital Transport or Hospital in related field required (for inpatient/hospital position only)
- 1 year Business Related, Imaging Services, Medical Office experience preferred
