Position Description: RN
BayCare Health System is currently seeking a PRN/Pool Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Med/Surg Surgical unit team at St. Joseph’s Hospital . As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness.
This med/surg surgical unit specializes in pre and post op surgical patients, mainly GI/GU, trauma patients and any general surgery.
The RN responsibilities include:
- Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
- Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
- Professional accountability and development.
- Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Qualifications:
Certifications and Licensures:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
- RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
- ACLS Certification, if required by department
- Nurse Specialty certification is preferred
Education:
- Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
- Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred
Experience:
- 18 months of RN experience is required.
