Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader

Role Overview

The Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader is the frontline leader of our commercial landscaping operations. At BLI, our Foreman takes full ownership of the job site, transforming client properties while upholding our core values: Professionalism, Quality, Accountability, Efficiency, and Safety. You will manage a crew, oversee high-end equipment, and ensure every landscape project and blade of grass reflects our commitment to excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct daily crew activities, manage labor hours effectively, and mentor crew members in best practices.
• Softscape Install: Execute proper Install flowers, bushes, trees, mulch, pine straw, and etc.
• Hardscape & Other Installs: Execute proper installs like pavers, retaining walls, irrigation installs, and etc.
• Operational Excellence: Execute mowing (zero-turn, stand-on, push), edging, trimming, pruning, and seasonal debris removal.
• Heavy Equipment Operation: Have prior experience operating heavy equipment like Skids Steers, Mini Excavator, and Excavator.
• Logistics & Tech: Operate company vehicles safely and utilize production software via smartphone for precise time-tracking and job documentation.
• Horticultural Care: Oversee the installation and maintenance of flowers, shrubs, and garden beds; identify specific needs for different grass and turf types.
• Equipment Stewardship: Perform minor 2-cycle and mower repairs, follow weekly maintenance schedules, and coordinate with the Mechanic via our tagging system.
• Preparation: Manage the "afternoon reset"—preparing trucks and equipment daily to ensure a seamless start the following morning.

• Safety First: Strict adherence to safety protocols and the ability to enforce them within your crew.
• Communication: Clear, professional interaction with Account Managers. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are highly valued.
• Problem Solver: Ability to work independently, troubleshoot equipment issues, and manage on-site challenges with a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Experience: 3 years of professional landscaping experience preferred.
• Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required).
• Compliance: Must be 21 years of age and able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform demanding physical labor (bending, climbing, pulling) in various weather conditions.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
