Responsibilities
- Supervisory
- Responsible for the oversight of all warehouse activities.
- Review daily purchase orders and sales orders for incoming and outbound shipments.
- Assign delivery routes to drivers.
- Safety Monitoring
- Ensure forklift safety checklist is completed daily.
- Enforce safety policies and making sure they are being followed at all times.
- Shipping and Receiving
- Keep paperwork updated that include back orders and proper billing and return to the office for processing.
- Unloading receipts of all inbound products including packing list.
- Inspect all freight when it’s delivered and make appropriate notes on the receiving paperwork.
- Verify counts on all incoming and out bounding trucks.
- Maintenance
- Ensure drivers are properly checking and maintaining box trucks.
- Inspect and maintain all forklifts.
- Upkeep of property, buildings, and dock areas for appearance and safety.
Qualifications:
- One year of experience driving a straight truck or tractor trailer, preferred
- Valid driver’s license to be always maintained in compliance with company policy.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DOT medical card, and driver paperwork required.
- Management/Supervisory experience, preferred.
- General knowledge of building materials.
