About the Role:
Under the direction of the VP Enterprise Applications and PMO, the Project Manager will guide governance for all assigned projects, including compliance, manage and support internal projects for the Senior Leadership, Technology and other teams for a portfolio of strategic projects. Ensures that approved projects are prioritized, funded, managed, and implemented across the organization in a high-quality timely manner. Responsibilities include project intake, working cross functionally with all areas for needs requirements, and getting assigned resources from request for proposal to completion of the project(s). This role is the liaison between project delivery teams and the Senior Leadership Team. The Project Manager will leverage functional expertise, a facilitative approach, and results-orientation to ensure successful execution of strategic projects that are aligned with the priorities of the credit union.

40 hours per week; Monday – Friday; 8:30 – 5:30pm (PST)

What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage assigned projects from start to finish, including planning, scope definition, timelines, resource coordination, budgeting, risk management, quality assurance, and on-time delivery.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams, leadership, and external partners to coordinate project activities and move initiatives forward in both in-person and virtual environments.
- Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and dashboards within Bay Federal’s project management system to ensure transparency, accountability, and organization-wide visibility.
- Gather, document, and manage business requirements, ensuring project scope is clearly defined, aligned with business needs, and effectively controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop project recommendations and rollout plans, evaluating options, risks, and impacts in partnership with business and technology stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure deliverables meet Bay Federal’s standards for quality, value, consistency, and member experience.
- Partner closely with Technology and Senior Leadership to plan and manage software releases, upgrades, and strategic initiatives, providing clear and timely communication on status, risks, and outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies, recommending enhancements that support operational excellence, fiscal responsibility, and Bay Federal’s strategic goals.
- 5 years of project management experience, leading projects through the full lifecycle and managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
- Experience driving cross-functional projects, successfully delivering high-visibility, mission-critical initiatives while working in a fast-paced, self-directed team environment.
- Hands-on experience managing technology and information systems projects, including software implementations, upgrades, integrations, and vendor coordination.
- At least 3 years of experience using Agile project management methodologies, with the ability to adapt approaches based on project needs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating project documentation, status reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills, with the ability to interpret data, prioritize multiple initiatives, and meet deadlines.
- A bachelor’s degree or 8 years of equivalent experience, ideally within financial services or another regulated industry, and a solid understanding of systems development and implementation.
- Technical proficiency and professional readiness, including experience with Microsoft Office 365 and project management tools, willingness to travel as needed to Bay Federal’s Capitola headquarters, and project management certifications encouraged (PMP, CSM, CSPO).

Salary : $81,141 - $101,427
