What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Assistant Counselor position at Bay Farm Montessori Academy?
Bay Farm is seeking several Summer Camp Assistant Counselors for its Bay Farm Summer program.
Bay Farm's Summer Program will run from June 8 to August 14. The hours are 8:00 - 4:00 PM.
Openings exist at multiple levels, including:
Toddler House (18mo - 2.5years)
Children's House (2.5years - 5years)
Elementary (6years - 10 years)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Counselor in the preparation and maintenance of classroom materials, environment, and curriculum.
- Classroom teaching, assist children with toileting and hygiene.
- Develop a mutually beneficial relationship with parents of students through ongoing, responsible, timely, and respectful communication.
- Participation in staff meetings and trainings;
- Collaborate with coworkers to provide the best possible educational experience for students.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working in a school or camp environment is highly desired
- First Aid / CPR certification or willingness to become certified
- Willingness to undergo a background check
