Residential DSP in Leonardtown & Lexington Park

Job Summary

Bay-CSS is looking for a compassionate and reliable Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Leonardtown & Lexington Park. The Residential DSP will be responsible for providing essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The position requires working the following schedule: Sunday 8am to 2pm, Thursday 2pm to 10pm, Friday 2pm to 10pm, Saturday 8am to 2pm, and 2pm to 10pm.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse populations
• Strong organizational skills and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, car insurance, and the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Willingness to attend all necessary trainings and certifications
  
  

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, personal care, and recreational pursuits
• Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance residents' quality of life
• Ensure the safety and well-being of residents throughout all shifts
• Implement individual care plans and accurately document any changes in residents' health and behavior
• Collaborate effectively with co-workers and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to residents
