Responsibilities

• Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures
• Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, laboratory work, and sample collection
• Provide pet care and animal husbandry, including trimming nails and cleaning kennels or cages
• Help with animal injections, and basic veterinary procedures under supervision
• Maintain accurate records of treatments, medications, and patient information in accordance with veterinary terminology standards
• Support front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering client inquiries, and managing patient intake forms

Requirements

• Prior experience in veterinary clinics is highly valued; pay will be commensurate with experience within a veterinary setting
• Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques, dog handling, and pet care best practices
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology, laboratory procedures, and aseptic techniques is a plus
• Experience with animal restraint, medication administration, and laboratory work is desirable
• Ability to work effectively with animals of various species including dogs and cats
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members in a professional manner
• A passion for animal welfare combined with a proactive attitude to learn and grow within the veterinary field
