Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Professional Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Professional Pet Groomer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while providing exceptional grooming services. Your expertise will help enhance the appearance and comfort of our furry clients, creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Position is a legal W-2 position. A receptionist is provide. Along with all basic tools and supplies needed. Continuing education is also paid for and recommended.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess each pet's grooming needs and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding services provided.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working condition.
- Handle pets with care, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Educate pet owners on proper grooming techniques and pet care practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in pet grooming.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Pet Groomer or similar role is preferred but not required for entry-level positions.
- Strong knowledge of different dog and cat breeds, their grooming needs, and appropriate techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with pets and their owners.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for animals are essential traits for success in this role.
- Certification from a recognized grooming school is an advantage but not mandatory.
