Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and provide excellent care for our furry guests.
Responsibilities & Experience
- Assist in the daily care of animals including feeding, watering, and walking
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal living areas
- Monitor animal behavior and report any health concerns to the veterinary staff
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Assist with animal handling during examinations and procedures
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, pet sitting, or animal care is preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal care practices and procedures
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments (leash pulling and jumped on)
- Experience with heavy lifting as some animals may require assistance and other heavy lifting.
- Must be able to work weekend and holidays
