Bay Area Ballet Conservatory is seeking highly qualified ballet instructors to teach Pre-Professional Division classes for the 2026/2027 School Session, beginning the week of August 24, 2026. Current openings include classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Availability for at least two teaching days per week is preferred.
- Professional ballet training background from a ballet-focused school
- Professional performing experience in ballet preferred; BFA degrees in Dance/Ballet also welcome
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
- Teaching certifications and trainings, such as CPYB Teacher Training, are a plus
- Prepare and teach organized classes aligned with discussed level goals and school curriculum
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Artistic Director and Assistant Director
- Prepare choreography and material for the year-end concert
- Attend 2–3 mandatory paid faculty meetings per academic school year
- Choreography opportunities with Bay Area Youth Ballet
- Rehearsal Assistant positions for productions including The Nutcracker and other BAYB performances
Qualified candidates should be dependable, professional, have reliable transportation, and be willing to undergo reference and background checks.
Compensation is competitive with ballet-focused schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and is based on experience.
