MEDICAL ASSISTANT SUMMARY: Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a provider, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding information for insurance purposes, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, and preparing patients for examination.
MEDICAL ASSISTANT JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum two (2) years’ related work experience preferred. Previous medical office experience preferred.
Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.
Preferred Education: Certified Nurse Assistant
Medical Assistant Safety Sensitive Designation:
This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
