SUMMARY: The Grants Program Coordinator is responsible for researching, developing, writing, and submitting all federal, state, and private grant opportunities that support Baxter Health’s mission, strategic priorities, capital projects, rural health initiatives, workforce programs, and service line growth. In addition to writing and submission, this role oversees all system wide coordination and tracking for awarded grants, ensuring appropriate documentation, financial monitoring, reporting, and compliance with funding requirements. This position serves as the central point of coordination for Baxter Health grant activity. Responsibilities include narrative development, data collection, budget collaboration, progress reporting, compliance tracking, expenditure monitoring, and communication with internal and external partners. The Grant Program Coordinator maintains detailed records of deadlines, deliverables, expenditures, and outcomes for all new and existing grants while supporting departments across the organization in the planning and implementation of funded programs. This role requires exceptional organization, writing skill, analytical ability, and the ability to collaborate cross functionally with departments such as Finance, Strategy, Population Health, Nursing, Workforce Development, Rural Health Clinics, Behavioral Health, Facilities, and Executive Leadership. Proactivity, resourcefulness, integrity, and sound judgment are essential.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Business, Journalism, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience: Minimum three to five years of experience in grant writing, grant coordination, program reporting, communication, or governmental funding. Healthcare experience preferred.
Certifications: N/A
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree and formal training in grant writing or grant management.

Work Environment
Work is performed both inside and outside the hospital office environment. This position allows remote work in the State of Arkansas, if needed. Some travel is required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Flexible work schedule, 5 days a week, Monday – Friday and some weekends will be required.
