Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure accurate documentation and smooth appointment flow
- Support chiropractors during patient examinations and treatment sessions by preparing treatment rooms and handling necessary equipment
- Educate patients on post-treatment care, exercises, and lifestyle modifications to promote ongoing health improvements
- Instruct patients on stretching and rehabilitaion exercises
- Setup patients on various therapy modalities; including electric stimulation, light therapy, and traction tables per the doctors
- Maintain detailed knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and orthopedics to assist with clinical documentation and communication
- Assist with patient care in both outpatient clinics and inpatient settings, including post-acute and sub-acute care environments
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of treatment areas while adhering to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and administrative tasksExperience
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred, especially within outpatient or inpatient care environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, and hospital medicine enhances your ability to support diverse patient needs
- Experience with patient service, intake procedures, and acute or post-acute care is advantageous
- Familiarity with medical terminology and hospital procedures ensures effective communication within healthcare teams
- Previous roles involving outpatient clinics or rehabilitation centers provide valuable insight into sub-acute care practices
- A background in orthopedics or geriatrics helps tailor patient interactions for specific populations requiring specialized attention
