Duties
- Diagnose and repair copier and multifunction printer hardware issues efficiently using technical schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns and extend device lifespan.
- Troubleshoot software problems related to copier systems, including connectivity issues with computer networks and embedded software.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, or replace mechanical parts within copier units.
- Install, configure, and test new equipment in client environments, ensuring proper integration with existing IT infrastructure.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately identify faults and implement solutions.
- Provide excellent field service by traveling to client sites, delivering timely repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and network configurations related to office equipment.
- Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on copier or equipment repair in a field service setting.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with hand tools and mechanical components confidently.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and OEM specifications for copier systems.
- Basic understanding of IT concepts such as computer networking, IP configurations, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
