Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Event DJ / MC to join our team, with a primary focus on weddings while also supporting live band events, corporate functions, and karaoke shows. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about creating unforgettable experiences, confident on the microphone, and adaptable to a variety of event styles and audiences.
The ideal candidate is professional, loves music, organized, and able to take the lead in managing event flow while delivering high-quality entertainment. From elegant weddings to high-energy corporate parties and interactive karaoke nights, you’ll play a key role in setting the tone and keeping guests engaged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide DJ and MC services for weddings, including ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions
- DJ for corporate events, parties, and private functions with diverse music needs
- Host and manage karaoke events, including singer rotation and audience engagement
- Set up, operate, and tear down professional audio and lighting equipment
- Make clear and engaging announcements to guide event flow
- Read the crowd and adjust music and energy accordingly
- Ensure smooth transitions between event segments
- Troubleshoot basic technical/audio issues as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous DJ experience recommended but not required; wedding experience preferred
- Comfortable serving as an MC with strong public speaking skills
- Knowledge of a wide range of music genres and event formats
- Ability to adapt to different event environments (formal, corporate, casual, interactive)
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to event locations
- Ability to lift and transport equipment (typically 40–75 lbs)
- Availability on evenings and weekends
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working alongside live bands or in live sound environments
- Familiarity with karaoke software and hosting
- Experience with professional DJ equipment and lighting systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
