Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that meet their needs
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and promote featured products
- Stock shelves regularly, ensuring products are available, properly priced, and neatly arranged
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a positive attitude
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking, labeling, and conducting stock counts to support store operations
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when handling inquiries or taking orders over the phone
- Support supervisory staff by supervising team members when needed and contributing to a cohesive team environment
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in retail or grocery store environments
- Supervising experience is preferred; capable of guiding team members and supporting daily store operations
- Strong communication skills—clear, friendly, professional—both in person and over the phone
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and stock management practices
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations such as change-making and inventory counts
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
- Familiarity with automotive operations is advantageous but not required; adaptable to various retail settings
Pay: $700.00 - $1,000.00 per week
