What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - MACU (PT Days) position at Baton Rouge General?
The Medical-Surgical unit is a fast paced unit where the nurse will perfect time management skills as well as learn to multi-task. This unit encompasses a wide variety of patients with many different diagnosis. The nurse will gain experience in management of patients post operatively as well as management of pain and intravenous lines. The nurse will perform numerous procedures and practice many nursing skills while providing compassionate and caring nursing care.
Educational Opportunities within the first year of employment include: CPR, ACLS, Preceptor and Charge Nurse Training.
EDUCATION, LICENSURE, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current Louisiana RN license required; 1 year of Nursing experience preferred; CPR required.
