The Billing & Client Services Specialist plays a key role in supporting laboratory operations by ensuring accurate billing, maintaining regulatory records, and providing excellent client services. This position acts as a resource for clients, resolves inquiries, and supports the daily functions of the laboratory with accuracy and professionalism
Essential Job Functions (include, but are not limited to)

Serve as a client services representative and primary point of contact for the laboratory system.

Ensure client satisfaction through timely follow-up and resolution of concerns.

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of laboratory principles to answer questions about testing, specimens, and stability.

Provide a variety of clerical and administrative support functions.

Oversee billing functions in the reference lab to ensure accurate charging and reporting.

Maintain laboratory databases, regulatory records, and reporting as assigned.

Monitor and support the daily activities of the department to ensure efficiency.

Perform high-level administrative duties for assigned areas.

Receive and resolve both routine and complex telephone inquiries.

Coordinate and manage the billing and results reporting functions of the pathology/laboratory services department.
Education

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: Associate degree
Experience
-
Required: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinical setting

Preferred: 2 years of billing experience
