What You Will Do:
Provide exceptional customer service while completing patient access functions across the revenue cycle, ensuring accurate registration, financial processing, and patient safety in accordance with established BRG procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
- Accurately identifies patients using established procedures and ensures correct armband application.
- Completes pre-registration, registration, and discharge collections accurately and professionally.
- Performs quick registrations in emergent situations while ensuring patient safety.
- Ensures compliance with EMTALA regulations and payer-specific documentation requirements.
- Reviews insurance verification data and takes appropriate follow-up action.
- Maintains an overall registration error rate at or below 5%.
- Requests, collects, receipts, and secures payments in compliance with financial policies.
- Activates and disseminates patient accounts and records appropriately.
- Performs duties across at least two patient access areas within the Business Services Department.
- Documents any deviations from standard processes.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
