What You Will Do:
Efficiently and courteously process all incoming calls, facilitate emergency code paging, and operate a multi-station switchboard to assist internal and external customers.
· Answer, route, and place calls using appropriate telephone etiquette.
· Handle emergency/disaster code paging and voice paging according to policy.
· Maintain awareness of hospital departments, programs, and personnel for accurate call routing.
· Update and maintain contact lists, on-call books, and departmental logs.
· Operate overhead paging and external paging systems to contact physicians and staff.
· Ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
