Position Title: Registered Nurse II (RN II)
Department: Rural Health Clinics (RHC)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse II (RN II) independently delivers patient care across clinic settings and demonstrates competency in both primary care and walk-in/urgent care environments.
Essential Functions
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and medication administration
- Assist providers during exams, procedures, and treatments
- Monitor patient condition and report changes
- Educate patients and families on care plans and follow-up
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record
- Administer vaccines and injections
- Support clinic flow and operations
- Collaborate with care team members
- Travel between clinic locations as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Standards
- Performs all duties independently and consistently
- Competent in PCP and walk-in/urgent care workflows
- Demonstrates strong clinical judgment
- Supports patient flow and care coordination
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Experience: Demonstrated competency in RN role
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Active Virginia RN license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
