The Lead Registration Clerk is a hybrid role that performs all duties and responsibilities of a Registration Clerk while providing operational support, guidance, and leadership to Registration staff. This position serves as a subject matter expert and resource for registration staff, assists with onboarding and training of new employees, supports daily workflow coordination, and promotes adherence to departmental policies and procedures. The Lead Registration Clerk works collaboratively with the Patient Access Manager and Patient Access Lead to ensure accurate registrations, insurance verification, patient collections, document scanning, customer service, and compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations. While not a supervisory position, the Lead Registration Clerk provides day-to-day leadership, assists with problem-solving and issue resolution, and serves as a liaison between staff and management.
