The Controls Solutions Engineer is responsible for supporting the company’s overall success in the HVAC Controls Department. The Controls Solutions Engineer is responsible for representing the controls department on construction, retrofit, service projects and supporting the overall success of the department.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Provide support for all complex solutions including retrofit, install and service work
- Survey job information provided to determine the most suitable solution
- Troubleshoot building control systems
- Install BAS controls for new and retrofit projects
- Program HVAC control systems
- Quality control
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors or as necessary to support the project, project managers, service calls and customers
- Provide 24/7 support to construction project managers, field foreman and engineers.
- Participate in after hours On-Call
- Individual contributor but must be able to influence both internal and external individuals included GCs and owners.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of various HVAC products, mechanical and controls drawings
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Mechanical aptitude
- Integrity and ability to promote a positive company image
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Results driven in a high-energy environment
- Attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or 10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of experience in the controls industry
