We are a Respiratory and High Acuity facility offering Ventilators/ Tracheostomies/Wound Care/Short Term Rehab and Long Term Care.
We are looking for a team member who is dedicated to working with our clinical team to cultivate/review and follow our admission process to welcome new residents into our facility. This role will involve internal and external marketing responsibilities.
JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and
referral sources, respond to customer requests and concerns, and to initiate referrals from various
organizations, government agencies, and other payers for the Facility
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES:
1. Continuously conduct market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan
designed to meet budgetary volume projections.
2. Employ marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections and
goals.
3. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral and
payer sources.
4. Builds and monitors community, customer, payer and patient perceptions of the Facility and
Long Term Care industry as a high quality provider of services.
5. Provides leadership in facility initiatives as requested including identifying opportunities for
additional or improved services to address customer needs.
6. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of the long term care markets including
government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor’s market
positioning.
7. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and shares information
with appropriate organization personnel.
8. Research and evaluate new business opportunities, demand for potential opportunities, and
customer needs and insights.
9. Assist with managing launch campaigns for new services as requested.
10.Recommend short- and long-term facility goals and objectives.
11.Assist with ensuring effective, branded marketing communications including the facility
website, print communication, and advertising.
12. Interview potential residents and residents’ representatives to collect accurate initial data on
admissions inquiries.
13. Communicate admission inquiry data in written and verbal form to the nursing department and
administration in a timely manner.
14. Screen applicants for admission for proper placement in the facility.
15. Assign appropriate hospital numbers and room numbers to residents in consultation with the
nursing department and administration.
16. Adhere to all admission, transfer and discharge policies and procedures.
17. Maintain and communicate an accurate facility census to all facility departments.
18. Keep accurate records of residents’ information; keep all residents’ information confidential.
19. Track and notify appropriate facility departments when a resident is admitted, transfers,
discharges or moves from one room to another.
20.Present, complete and carry out the facility admission agreement and all attachments for
potential and new residents and residents’ representatives.
21.Act as a liaison between transferring institutions and the facility; establish a good rapport with
transferring institutions.
22. Participate in marketing the facility and maintaining an acceptable census level.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
LPN or Associates or Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent
required. Previous experience in marketing for a long term care facility preferred. Presents a
professional and organized approach to promoting the facility to community referral sources and
professionals required. Ability to communicate, organize and direct changes in a staffing schedule
required.
