BARTENDER- EVENT'S STAFF- SUB SEASONAL STATUS- $11.47 HR. TIPS
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under the direction of the General Manager of Bar Operations, the Bartender is responsible for overall preparation and serving of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests and collecting money for drinks served.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons.
2. Collect money from customers for drinks prepared and served.
3. Ensure customers are served in accordance with state and local laws and WROTBC’s regulations regarding the service of alcohol, including ensuring customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs and using proper judgment and, when necessary, refusing service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
4. Ensure that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar.
5. Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, wines, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
6. Maintain an understanding of promotions within the facility.
7. Maintain the bar, guest and service areas, keeping them clean and organized; re-stock bar at the end of each shift.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING
Knowledge of drink preparation or service. Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers. Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons. Ability to learn point of sale software used by bars and restaurants.
ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Must be approved for and maintain a valid Video Lottery Gaming Service Employee license issued by the New York State Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is an active role with prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks. This position includes tasks that may require the ability to lift or move up to 15 pounds at a time and bend, crawl, and climb stairs as necessary. Effective communication is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and on holidays.
