IT Support Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our IT team and support our manufacturing operations. This role provides technical support for users across production, warehouse, and corporate office environments. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and familiarity with both IT and OT (operational technology) environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve help desk tickets, phone calls, and emails in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide end-user support for desktop/laptop hardware, mobile devices, printers, and scanners.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365, and other business applications.
• Support users in ERP systems (Amtech Encore) and manufacturing-specific applications.
• Maintain and monitor computer systems, networks, switches, and industrial PCs.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting (IP configuration, patching, cabling).
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies via Active Directory.
• Deploy and maintain hardware inventory and asset tracking.
• Support plant-floor IT devices (scanners, HMIs, production workstations, barcode printers).
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.
• Assist with backup systems, antivirus management, and IT security compliance.
• Document solutions and contribute to knowledgebase and SOPs.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field — or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, Active Directory, SharePoint, and Azure.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, ServiceDesk, Spiceworks. etc..)

Preferred:

• Experience supporting technology in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Exposure to ERP, MES, or SCADA systems.
• Certifications: CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, etc.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

 Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally (e.g., workstations, printers).
• Some work in plant or warehouse environments — must follow safety protocols.
• Occasional travel between local facilities may be required.
• Availability for on-call support or after-hours maintenance (rotational).
