Responsibilities:
The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice.

Identifies patient concerns and communicates to provider, updates patient medical history, pain
assessments, ID patient -
Demonstrates skills and knowledge when preparing and setting up operatory for procedures and
educating patients at the request of the provider - Cross covers and assists front desk as needed

Demonstrates skills and knowledge when interacting with patient and provider with clear concise
communication - Prepares patient for scheduled procedure
- Decontaminates instruments & equipment
- Prepares instruments for sterilization according to policies
- Reports damaged or missing instruments
- Orders and stocks supplies
- Maintains infection control standards
Education/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, required
Experience:
- Experience in the dental field, preferred
Licensure/Certificates:
- Certified dental assistant, preferred
- BLS certification within 6 months from date of hire, required
