Responsible for supporting shop and field associates by issuing, receiving, inspecting, and maintaining tools and equipment. This role ensures tools and materials are organized, accurately tracked, and ready for use to support timely job starts and efficient daily operations.

Position Responsibilities
- Provide fast, friendly, and professional service to shop and field associates at the tool room counter.
- Issue, receive, and accurately track tools and equipment to maintain accountability.
- Inspect tools, kits, and gang boxes to ensure they are complete, safe, and ready for use before being issued.
- Perform basic maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs to keep tools in working condition.
- Receive, label, organize, and store tools and materials while maintaining a clean, organized, and Lean tool room that promotes efficiency and safety.
- Prepare and dispatch tools and materials for jobs so crews can start work without delays.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, issues, or needs proactively.
- Troubleshoot tool issues and help find practical solutions when challenges arise.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support operational needs when required.
- Take ownership of the quality, condition, and accuracy of items leaving the tool room.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and accountable.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with frequent interruptions and priority changes.
- Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of tools and equipment.
- Strong customer service mindset, respectful, helpful, and approachable.
- Organized and detail oriented, especially with inventory tracking and tool readiness.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions consistently.
- Basic computer skills for inventory systems and recordkeeping.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
