Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York, major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our staff. Description Fellowship training encouraged but not a requirement. This surgeon would have access to an OR for urgent and “cold trauma’ cases in a room reserved for emergent surgery. There would also be time allotted for elective trauma reconstructive practice. There are separate call schedules for Spine and Hand. The practice covers one centrally located ER.

Job Description & Responsibilities
- Join an established group of Orthopedic Surgeons and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC’s)
- General Orthopedic Call with Orthopedic Hospitalist
- Referral Base of over 150 Primary Care Clinicians
- Full Support Staff including APC’s with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction
- Group employed model Compensation
- Salary Range: $588,390 - $690,684
- This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
- Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000
- Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
- MD, DO or MBBS
- Completion of an accredited residency in orthopedic surgery, successful completion of which results in board eligibility
- NYS Licensure
- BLS Certification Required
- DEA Required
