Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in and near Waltham, MA, for a Project Cost Controller. This role may be posted at a job site office in MA as well, mostly close to Waltham. The role involves managing and analyzing project costs, preparing detailed cost estimates, and maintaining accurate cost accounting records. Other responsibilities include monitoring budgets, reviewing/approving invoices, doing accruals, generating financial reports, and ensuring cost control measures are effectively applied throughout the project's lifecycle. The Project Cost Controller will collaborate closely with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure financial efficiency and project success.
Qualifications & Requirements -
- Proficiency in Cost Control and Cost Management to effectively oversee and manage project budgets and expenditures.
- The level and pay grade will be decided based on the number of years of experience and overall skillset
- Ability to work on the job site office minimum 5 days per week is a must.
- Experience working in a construction project team environment is highly desired
- Strong understanding of Cost Accounting principles for accurate tracking and reporting of project costs.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Solid background in Finance, particularly in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with financial software and tools relevant to cost management. Expert level proficiency with MS Excel is a must.
- Experience in the construction or related industry is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
