Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting from a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings
• Prepare food items accurately, following safety and sanitation standards
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales transactions swiftly and accurately
• Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely service and upselling opportunities to enhance sales
• Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit card payments, and giving correct change
• Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing counters, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
• Operate kitchen equipment safely for food preparation tasks when needed
• Ensure food handling procedures meet health standards and support food safety management practices
• Assist with retail sales transactions at the counter or in the store area when required
• Support food industry best practices by adhering to sanitation, hygiene, and food safety protocols at all times

Experience

• Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred
• Proven background in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within a restaurant or café setting
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple customer orders efficiently during busy periods
• Customer service experience demonstrating excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry or grocery store experience is a plus
• Experience operating kitchen equipment or working in a culinary environment is beneficial
