Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings
• Scoop ice cream accurately and efficiently using proper food handling techniques
• Operate POS systems process transactions smoothly and accurately
• Upsell additional toppings, sundaes, or specialty items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including sanitizing scoops, counters, and utensils in compliance with food safety standards
• Handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and register balancing
• Restock supplies, manage waste, and support overall sanitation efforts to uphold high food safety standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions comfortably
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment like a café, retail store, or grocery store is advantageous
• Excellent time management skills to serve customers efficiently during busy periods
