Duties
- Skillfully decorate cakes, and confections with intricate designs, flowers, and themed motifs to meet customer specifications and seasonal trends.
- Prepare cakes and frozen treats by following recipes, ensuring proper mixing, layering, and finishing techniques.
- Handle food preparation tasks including icing, piping, application, and trimming to achieve visually stunning results.
- Package finished products carefully to maintain quality during transport and display.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station in compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Assist customers with selecting cake designs or flavors, providing friendly and knowledgeable service.
- Receiving deliveries such as ice cream tubs and paper goods once a week to be properly stored away.
Experience
- Proven experience in cake decorating is preferable, however on the job training is provided.
- Hands-on experience in food production, food handling, or kitchen environments within the food industry or restaurant settings.
- Must be physically able to lift and put away delivery’s of minimum 30lbs
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper storage practices.
- Previous catering or restaurant experience is a plus, demonstrating ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and effective communication abilities.
