What You'll Do
- Answer and route calls, and be the welcoming first point of contact for families, staff, and referral partners
- Open and maintain client charts, complete admission paperwork, and support intake from start to finish
- Manage faxes, filing, and medical records with strict HIPAA confidentiality
- Complete chart audits (7-day, recert, and death charts) and monthly compliance reporting
- Track client visits and communications, and keep the client database current
- Order supplies, support payroll and timesheet processing, and provide secretarial support across departments
- Take minutes at staff and director meetings
What We're Looking For
- Hospice or healthcare office experience strongly preferred. If you have worked in hospice, home health, a clinic, or a senior living community, you will feel at home here and we want to hear from you.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and medical records confidentiality
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing basics is a plus
- Typing speed of 60 wpm or better and solid computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
