TITLE: Assembly/Paint Supervisor

HOURS: 7:30am - 4pm M-F
We are seeking an Assembly / Paint Supervisor to provide hands-on leadership, technical direction, and day-to-day support for assembly and paint operations. This role helps ensure production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality and delivery expectations while fostering a positive and professional shop environment.
This role will initially support multiple manufacturing areas, including Cabinet, Dust Collector, Pressure Vessel, Rooms, and Sub-Assembly operations, without direct supervisory responsibility.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the general assembly manager to establish daily and weekly priorities that support on-time customer deliveries.
- Assign work to team members based on skill level and workload while ensuring standardized assembly procedures are consistently followed.
- Verify that work orders and labor reporting are accurately completed and updated in a timely manner.
- Support troubleshooting efforts by assisting with the resolution of technical and process-related issues on the floor.
- Inspect finished equipment to confirm quality and readiness prior to shipment.
- Contribute to employee performance reviews and provide feedback and recommendations for development.
- Enforce compliance with internal policies, safety requirements, and housekeeping standards.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and professional workplace by modeling proper safety practices and workplace conduct.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A two-year technical degree is required; A four-year degree in mechanical engineering is strongly preferred.
- At least three years of demonstrated success in a technical lead or supervisory role within an electromechanical assembly environment.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to delegate tasks and manage workflow efficiently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using a variety of hand tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, coach, and engage team members.
- Basic electrical knowledge and the ability to interpret simple drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capacity to stand and work on the production floor for extended periods.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
