Roll Off Truck Driver CDL-A

Basic Metals is a metal recycling company with locations in New Haven and Mt. Clemens. we specialize in both ferrous and non-ferrous metals with a focus on commercial production recycling. Our trucking fleet provides service to over 400 customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

· Drive trucks and provide customer support as needed.

· Follow all industrial safety standards and Basic Metals policies

· Ensure all loads are handled safely and in a timely manner.

· Complete daily pre-trip inspections on all trucks and trailers issued to you.

· Participate in ongoing training programs and mandatory safety meetings.

Qualifications:

· Legally capable of being employed in Michigan

· Must maintain a CDL-A operator's license. Gravel train experience a plus.

· Roll-off driving experience as well as a 7-axle dump trailer.

· Must be physically able to speak to management and other employees or customers; operate, maintain, clean and keep in good condition their equipment.

· Must have good knowledge of the mechanical aspects, limitations, repair and cleaning of trucks and trailers.

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

• Roll Off Truck: 1 year (Preferred)
• Commercial Driving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Air Brake Endorsement (Preferred)
• CDL A (Preferred)
