JOB TITLE: HEAD GIRLS VOLLEYBALL COACH - JV/FRESHMAN

REPORTS TO: ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

CALENDAR: ATHLETIC CALENDAR

SALARY: COACH STIPEND SCHEDULE

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Valid IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

2. NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Certification

3. NFHS Concussion Course

4. NFHS Bullying, Hazing, and Inappropriate Behaviors Course

5. CPR/First Aid Certification

Core Job Functions:

Basha High School is accepting applications for the position of head freshman, and JV head coach. In addition we are looking for an assistant coach as well.  We are seeking a dedicated educator-coach who is passionate about student development, leadership, and program building. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing student-athletes academically, athletically, and socially, while establishing a sustainable and positive girls volleyball program aligned with Basha High School’s mission and vision.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assisting with leading and overseeing the Basha High School girls volleyball program.

• Building a strong, values-based volleyball program focused on character, accountability, and teamwork

• Developing student-athletes through skill instruction, mentorship, and leadership opportunities

• Establishing a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture across all levels

• Supporting alignment between varsity, junior varsity, and feeder programs

• Encouraging academic success and personal responsibility among student-athletes

• Communicating effectively with student-athletes, parents, administration, and staff

• Coaches must be available to travel to and from games. 

• Maintaining a safe training environment and prioritizing student-athlete well-being

• Upholding all school, district, and AIA policies and expectations
