The Role: Investment Banking Vice President
As a Vice President at BaseRock Partners, you will lead the day-to-day execution of live M&A and ESOP transactions — managing deal teams and driving processes from mandate through close. You will work on engagements across our core E&C sectors, including:
- Contractors
- Construction Materials
- Facility Services
- Engineering & Environmental
- Building Products
- Utility Services
This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced banker ready to own transaction execution while helping build a fast-growing, specialized M&A and ESOP advisory practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Leadership: Lead and manage live M&A and ESOP transactions end-to-end — quarterbacking deal teams, workstreams, timelines, and deliverables from mandate through close.
- Client & Relationship Management: Serve as a primary day-to-day point of contact for clients, buyers, counsel, and other counterparties, managing communications and guiding stakeholders through complex situations.
- Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, mentor, and review the work of analysts and associates, ensuring the quality and accuracy of financial models, CIMs, and other client deliverables.
- Analytical Oversight: Oversee valuation and financial analysis.
What We Look For
- 5 years of investment banking experience, including at the Associate and/or Vice President level, with a demonstrated track record of leading live M&A transactions from execution through close.
- Proven ability to manage full deal processes, lead and develop analysts and associates, and serve as a primary day-to-day client contact.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling foundation, with the judgment to review and pressure-test complex valuation and transaction analyses.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple live engagements simultaneously.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to lead a lean, collaborative, and fast-paced team.
- Meaningful experience in, or a demonstrated commitment to, the Engineering & Construction industry is strongly preferred.
