Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Field Crew Member to assist with land surveying and engineering fieldwork. This position involves working outdoors in various conditions, supporting survey crews, and helping collect critical data for engineering and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing land surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys
- Operate and maintain survey equipment such as GPS units, total stations, and data collectors
- Set up and break down survey instruments and markers
- Record accurate field notes and measurements
- Clear lines of sight and carry equipment across varying terrain
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with crew members and project managers to complete assignments efficiently
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or surveying education preferred)
- Previous surveying or construction experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and walk long distances over rough terrain
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with survey equipment (GPS, robotic total stations)
- Basic understanding of construction plans and engineering drawings
- Experience using data collection software

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
