What are the responsibilities and job description for the Growth Marketing Manager position at Baseball Lifestyle 101?
About Us
Baseball Lifestyle 101 (BL101) is a fast-growing e-commerce brand at the intersection of baseball culture and lifestyle apparel. We design and launch products that resonate deeply with players, parents, and fans — powered by a strong content engine, a passionate community, and a fast-moving drop calendar. As we scale, we’re expanding our growth team to push deeper into paid media, creative testing, merchandising alignment, and analytics.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Manager who understands e-commerce mechanics as much as they understand paid media. This role owns strategy, execution, testing, and optimization across all major digital channels, with a focus on:
- SKU-level performance
- Inventory-aware scaling
- Creative-led testing frameworks
- Efficiency metrics that matter in modern DTC (MER, NC ROAS, CAC, contribution margin)
- Drop-driven revenue cycles
You will work closely with our creative, e-com, merchandising, and content teams to ensure paid media is aligned with product availability, margin profiles, and upcoming launches.
This is a hands-on builder role with high visibility and direct impact on revenue.
What You’ll Do
Paid Media Ownership
- Own full-funnel paid media execution across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and Microsoft.
- Build campaigns aligned with SKU priorities, drop calendar, inventory levels, and margin constraints.
- Manage daily pacing, forecasting, and performance guardrails (MER, NC ROAS, CAC).
- Scale winners and cut losers quickly using disciplined testing frameworks.
Creative Collaboration & Testing
- Develop creative testing roadmaps tied to audiences, hooks, formats, and drop moments.
- Work directly with creative strategists, designers, and UGC creators to brief new concepts.
- Analyze performance by angle, hook, and structure — and recommend next tests weekly.
Data, Reporting & Insights
- Build and maintain dashboards across Triple Whale, GA4, and platform data.
- Produce weekly insights: what moved, why it moved, and what we’re testing next.
- Evaluate performance using cohort views, contribution margin thinking, and NC revenue.
E-Commerce & Merchandising Alignment
- Partner with E-Com and Merch teams to understand inventory, pricing, SKUs, and drops.
- Shift budgets and priorities based on product availability and sell-through velocity.
- Support DTC revenue planning with short-term and monthly forecasting.
Innovation & Channel Expansion
- Stay ahead of AI-driven ad automation, creative trends, attribution changes, and platform betas.
- Test and scale new channels (Programmatic, CTV, Amazon ads) as performance and opportunity allow.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years in e-commerce performance marketing for DTC brands (apparel is a plus).
- Proven experience scaling Meta Google ad accounts profitably at meaningful spend levels.
- Strong understanding of SKU economics, merchandising, inventory constraints, and contribution margin.
- Deep familiarity with DTC growth tools: Triple Whale, Motion, GA4, Shopify.
- Experience managing creative testing frameworks (hooks, angles, retention, CTR drivers).
- Analytical and organized — you know how to interpret data and move quickly with it.
- Comfortable in a drop-driven, high-velocity environment.
- Strong communicator who collaborates well across Creative, Merch, Ops, and Leadership.
- Passion for sports, lifestyle apparel, or youth culture is a major plus.
Why Join BL101
- Own the performance engine of a rapidly growing lifestyle brand.
- Work in a creative, entrepreneurial environment with real impact on revenue.
- Direct collaboration with leadership and visibility into strategy.
- Competitive salary, performance bonus, and room to grow.
