About The Role
We’re looking for a Design Intern to join our Creative team this summer and focus on one of Base’s fastest-moving channels: paid social advertising on Meta. You’ll work alongside our designers and marketing team to produce scroll-stopping ad creative, build scalable template systems in Figma, and help us learn what resonates with homeowners across the country.
This isn’t a “shadow someone and take notes” internship. You’ll own real output from week one — designing ads that run in the market, building tools your teammates actually use, and shaping how Base shows up in people’s feeds. What You'll Do
- Design new paid social ad creative on a weekly cadence for Meta campaigns, working within Base’s brand system while pushing the work forward visually.
- Build and maintain a reusable Figma template system that both the design and marketing teams can use to quickly spin up new ad variations without starting from scratch.
- Conduct competitive ad research — studying what other brands (in energy, DTC, home services, and beyond) are running on Meta — and bring back ideas worth testing.
- Organize and build a library of our top-performing ad creative so the marketing team has a go-to resource for proven templates and formats.
- Collaborate with designers and marketers to iterate on concepts based on performance data and creative instinct.
- Strong visual design fundamentals — typography, color, layout, hierarchy — with a portfolio that shows range and taste.
- Working proficiency in Figma, including components, auto layout, and an understanding of how to build templates others can use without breaking.
- Genuine curiosity about what makes an ad work — you pay attention to the ads in your own feed and have opinions about them.
- Ability to move quickly and manage your own time across multiple deliverables without losing quality.
- Comfort giving and receiving direct feedback — our team iterates fast and ego slows things down.
