Role Description
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for supporting the founder and lead designer, Kaitlin Ortega, with a variety of tasks for clients and the studio such as research and reporting of social media trends, posting, analytics tracking, and email marketing. This is a part-time 5-10 hour/week role to start with hybrid commute in Austin - Implying that the role is remote but some in-person teamwork is needed once or twice a month in Austin, Texas. If you are not located in Austin, Texas your application will not be considered. Hourly wage with bonus assistant perks such as educational online courses, gifts, travel, and end of year bonuses.
Requirements
- Located in Austin, Texas or surrounding city
- Experience with design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite & Canva
- Experience in social media management and content creation
- Understanding of modern marketing principles and trends
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An eye for creative visual design and attention to detail for Instagram
Bonus Skills
- Experience in designing logos, logo animation, and visual brand identities.
- Bachelor's degree (Or in the process of obtaining a BA) in Communication, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with social media management and content creation is a plus
- Experience with website design and development is a plus
