Job Summary
The Barton County Health Department is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Billing Clerk who possesses a thorough knowledge of coding, insurance billing skills, and accounting practices. This vital role is responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding, maintaining accounts receivable and other financials, tracking costs, and cross-trained in tracking of grant-funded programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient healthcare delivery through meticulous billing practices and excellent administrative support.
Starting wage is $15.00 per hour, negotiable depending on qualifications and/or experience. Weekly schedule 8a-6p (with 1-hour lunch break) Monday through Thursday, 8a-12p Friday; no weekends or shift work required. Health, Dental, and Vision insurance options; no waiting period for Vacation and Sick Leave accrual; KPERS Retirement.
Must be at least 18 years of age and must pass a physical exam and drug screen.
