What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Aide/Front Desk position at Bartley Physical Therapy?
We are a busy orthopedic physical therapy clinic located in Thousand Oaks, directly across from Thousand Oaks High School, and we’re looking for a hardworking Physical Therapy Aide to join our team of professionals.
The ideal candidate can multitask calmly and efficiently while supporting both the front and back office. This includes assisting patients with scheduling and phone calls, as well as helping in the clinic by cleaning, preparing treatment areas, and setting patients up on modalities for our team of nine physical therapists.
We’re seeking someone who is friendly, reliable, and a true team player—someone with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized in a fast‑paced environment. A professional appearance, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are essential.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Administer passive modalities to patients; electrical stimulation/ice/heat as directed by physical therapist
- Responsible for break downs and set ups of direct patient care
- Responsible for laundry; washing, drying, folding, restocking rooms
- Keep treatment rooms clean and tidy between patients.
- Keep the clinic clean and organized and disinfect equipment after each treatment.
- Maintain equipment and furniture to keep it in good working condition.
- Assist the front desk with clerical duties, including patient check-ins, collecting co-pays, scanning documents, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and supporting the front desk team with additional administrative tasks as needed.
- Restock supplies in treatment rooms.
Requirements:
- Ability to prioritize & multi-task is a MUST
- Experience in appointment scheduling or a customer service role, with the ability to speak politely on the phone.
- Excellent communication skills, extreme attention to detail, highly organized, well-groomed, professional appearance and manner
- Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, comfortable using office software applications.
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Problem-solving skills
- High School diploma; additional certification is a plus
Hours: Part-time: M-F and available to work from 7 am – 1 pm or 1 pm – 7 pm during the week
