The Basics
Location: Statesville, NC
Compensation: $20.50/hr and up
Days/Hours: The schedule for this job will be day shift, with occasionally working an off shift. You will work mainly 7am to 3:30pm Mon-Fri, but shift hours can vary. There will be some OT, including weekends, Saturdays and Sundays
Equipment Used: Baggers, palletizers, conveyors, hoses, forklifts, skid steer, and driving tractor trailer on the yard
Material Handled: Bulk loading and bagged flour

What you’ll be doing:
The primary duties of this job will include receiving bulk flour and preparing bulk flour for shipment. The flour may be shipped in bulk, or in bags. You will also transload flour from railcars to storage or trailers. There will be a combination of manual work and the monitoring of various equipment. You will be cross trained in various tasks in the Packing, Bulk Loading and Warehouse (PLW) area of the mill. As with most jobs at a flour mill, housekeeping will be an ongoing duty for this position.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

• This job can be physically strenuous
• You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• You will work at heights
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders
• You will be required to wear PPE
• Work in elements of the weather
• Must be able to back trailer or able to learn.
